Good Local Markets is not just a place to buy and sell. GLM helps grow and connect urban and rural economies. We connect neighbors with neighbors. We offer low-risk business opportunities for vendors, and keep money in our local neighborhood. And, GLM feeds money back into the rural economy where many vendors grow, raise and produce their products.
Connecting farmers and producers to thousands of Dallas residents, Good Local Markets incubates small businesses. Since 2009, we’ve given over 100 local farmers and businesses a platform to earn upwards of $1 million, collectively.
Committed to expanding access to healthy foods for those who need it most, GLM was the first farmer’s market in Dallas County to accept Lone Star food stamp benefits. In 2013, we doubled our selling capacity – bringing fresh, local food to thousands.
UNIQUE LOCAL ASSET
We’ve become the place to meet old friends, make new ones, and have fun the whole time. We boost the quality of life in Dallas. As a place where people gather and take pride in community, the market is our neighborhoods’ natural civic center.
